A common question about the Oaklander Model is: what ages are best suited for this type of work? Violet said her work is helpful to any age child, teen and even adults. However, there are considerations for different developmental levels. In this training we answer the questions: how does this work for adults? Very young children? Adolescents?
Using the principles of Gestalt Play Therapy with children, we will cover how to address diversity regarding age and developmental considerations amongst our clients. How resistance looks for each stage of development and ways to address it. Additionally, this training will address how working with parents/caregivers differs depending upon the age of the client and how to manage these considerations.

We will use Violet’s “classic” experiences and have actual prompts to cater to each age and developmental level.
